Default Passenger side wiper arm

Since the passenger side arm does not hinge and only lifts up a couple inches is there a easy way to change the wiper blade as I am having no luck at all?? TIA

I know what you mean but they fit on. Just get some that just clip on. I went to advanced and got some good ones. Last time I got the Bosch and they fell apart reasonably quick. i wouldn't recommend them.

Put a shop rag on the windshield so the bare arm doesn't chip or scratch the glass. Then just remove it like you do the driver's side. There's enough clearance that it really should not be a problem.

Just open the hood, throw a towel under the arm, remove the entire blade holder from the arm so you can install the replacement blade on the holder away from the car, then clip the blade holder back onto the arm.

The end of the arm is a bend hook/ the holder had a pivot cross pin, so you push the holder towards the car on the arm to remove it from the arm hook portion.

Been doing that every year since 2006.
Works fine.

I just changed mine today.

Shut the car off when the wipers were vertical on the windshield and stood on the driver's side and did both. Less than 5 minutes.

Each brand is a little different on how the assembly clips on to the u shaped end. I always have to fiddle with them searching for the secret tab that gets pressed with a little screwdriver, then presto, the whole blade/cartridge slips down (towards the hood) and it's out.

Just a little patience and confidence... say to yourself that you're smarter than this wiper.

The release tab for the blade holder to remove it from the J hook of the arm is between the holder and the blade on the bottom side of the holder. Just reach in under the blade, and you will feel the little button you have to press inwards, upwards from the bottom so the holder slides right off the J hook of the arm.

As for the old blade, you should be able to see the thin metal rail end hook points, but as noted, then they can be a little harder to press in to get the old blades off the arms.

As for direction that I put the new blades back on (clip side that goes in last/lock into the holder), since the replacement blade will be 1/2" longer, I always put the clip hook part of the rail towards the bottom (drivers side) of the holder. This leave the extra 1/2" to wipe higher in the window.

Also to point out, the replacement blades come with plastic C clips on them and if you leave the clips in place, and let the blade holder push then off as you are installing the replacement blade, makes the install a snap. If you pull the C clips off, then the blade replacement becomes a bear putting the new blades back in, since you now have nothing holding the thin metal pieces to the blade channels.

Thanks to all as I finally with a lot of patience and someone with smaller hands to get to the tab you have to push got it done, just wondering what the reason for the passenger side not being able to hinge?? Thanks again
