Guys I know I am in the C6 section but here me out. I have a late '03 Z06 which means it has the C6 fuel tank and pump setup. The car is twin turbo with a methanol kit. I want to get away from the methonal so I was considering going to E85. My lines and pump for fuel under boost can run E85. Can you run E85 with a factory fuel pump.
No personal experience but from what I've seen here I'd say no.
As reference, Edelbrock requires a C6 Z-06 fuel pump be installed for their 599 HP setup. I know, a BAP is also okay, but not the preferred setup by Edelbrock. So with E85 I don't "think" a stock unit will be enough. But I don't know.
Here's one quick discussion I found to get you started:
I am not looking to see if the stock pump is enough for my setup. I know it is too small. I have id1000 injectors, fast rails, boost referenced fuel pressure regulator and a Bosch 044 on a Hobbs switch for additional fuel. I want to make sure the e85 won't eat the pump and seals up. I guess I didn't word my question very well. I do appreciate the responses.
