I just moved my car with the intercooler off. Even at idle the centri is moving a lot of air.

UnReal gave you a full review of his experiences form owning BOTH ... Not many people have had both kits on their cars.
With that said, I'm like everyone else and prefer the kit I purchased (ECS). I can say that the kit makes it so easy for the car to go into "Beast Mode" it's almost scary!

I know the OP isn't in CA, but if you do its it a big plus that the A&A kit has CARB approval.

Things I liked more about the A&A kit
Packaging was better, directions were better. Those don't matter once it is on though.
CARB is big if you live in Cali and plan on being emissions compliant.

Everything else I think ECS does better.

No. The spacers are individual to the blower so you would need A&A 10 rib pulley/spacer/tensioner/etc kit. Or just swap completely to the ECS bracket/tensioner/pulleys.

I have no experience with the ECS, but did have the A&A V3-Si installed at the beginning of the year on my stock '12 GS A6. A&A kicked butt getting it done, and I was totally satisfied with the professionalism displayed by all of their staff before, during and after.

The kit and install looks great, and it has given me exactly what I was hoping for so far... It is great just running around town, out on the highway on long trips, and I just got it on the track (Thunderhill road course) over the weekend to experience what it has to offer. I can get over 25 MPG out on long road trips, it behaves extremely well in traffic or cruising, but pulls as hard as I want it to when the pedal goes down. I was looking for something that would be as reliable as possible, since I was installing it on a 2 year old car that I plan to keep for some time to come.

When I made my decision, it was between A&A and ECS, but in the end it was the CARB certification that pushed it over the top for me.

And stock my car was able to cut the tires loose at low RPM's in the lower gears, so the PD/roots blowers didn't appeal to me. I have every bit of low end power that I want and 'need' with the Vortech centri.

Good luck with your decision... Can't go wrong!

The crank pulley will fit, the spacers, tensioner, idlers, etc will not.

Like I said, A&A makes a great kit. Anyone that has one will be happy. If you are in cali and need to be carb legal it is the best choice. I was just sharing that after owning both I like some of the ECS things more and the kit overall more.

ive sent em both emails and waiting for a reply but i think it was cheaper to replace the a&a brackets and go ecs brackets n 10 rib direct drive then just get the a&a 10 rib direct drive to suit my a&a bracket im running now. will find out next few days i guess. n no im in florida...no laws here lol

ECS is the direction I chose. A lot of differences between the two kits have been listed. ECS is at the track.... A lot. Thier testing and research at the track with these cars on the weekends was important to me. If issues are going to arise they are more likely to arise at the track wouldn't you think?

I have no experience with A&A and wouldn't begin to bash them. It has always been ECS for me and thier customer service is the best. Doug and Chris have both been responsive and quick to answer questions or call me back. Warranty issues have been resolved quickly and replacement parts have been shipped promptly when needed. Great group of people up there at ECS. Wish I had taken my car straight to them the first time around.
