Default My turn for a "Weld Wheel" question....

I currently run 17 x 11 Welds with drag radials most of the time.

I want another set of rears with street tires for longer trips. Weld doesn't sell a 19 inch wheel for us, so I would have to go with 18 inch.

I was hoping to use Michelin PSS to match my fronts, but they don't make an 18 wide enough.
So the question is, what is a good street tire to use in the rear on an 18x11 or 18x12 weld. I am thinking something around 27 inches tall.

Car is a wide booty so the same as Z06 essentially.

thanks.

I run THE MT 305X35X18 last as long as the run flats if you don't do burnouts

I thought about that. It is not how long they last that concerns me as I don't put on that much mileage. My concern is being on a road trip and getting caught in heavy rain. I am just not comfortable with drag radials in that situation.

The BFG KDW2 comes in a 335/30/18...slightly shorter than what you're looking for, but this tire is pretty common on big HP 4th Gen TransAms/Camaros for a street tire.

My buddy was running this on his supercharged camaro and really liked it.

That's the point of not doing burnouts, it leaves plenty of tread for rain, mine handles great in the rain with them and shinnies up front, but of-course you cant drive 80mph on the turns, Gary2004Z06 USES THEM IN A 19"
