Sims like the ls3 lifters give up on my vette 08.i have cammed it and now i go for a blower.now what lifters are the best to go for?.. Experiens from you in here?ls7 lifters or ????
Thanks
It's not the lifter so much as it's the spring you're using. Stock lifters don't like too much lift under a heavy rate spring over a long period of time. (400+ lbs open)
Brian Tooley SLR lifters and .660 platinum dual springs look to be the choice for street car longevity. Good lift numbers and are the lightest rate dual spring @ .650....so won't kill stock lifters if you put them back in, but have enough force to keep the valves closed under average boost.
I run YT shaft mount rockers, so had to keep max spring rate at/under 400 lbs @ .650 (Recommended by YT on revision 1 & 2 rockers. The newer revision 3 design is good for 450lbs)
I have a set of stock lifters on the shelf if you want them. Otherwise, I'd opt for the BTR's.
