Default Katech 110 Torquer Camshaft (LS7)

Hi, I have a 2006 C6 z06
current mods:
Volant intake
Magnaflow cat back exhaust

I'm looking to do a Katech 110 Torquer Cam on it. Anyone like this for a streetable cam? I don't want to ditch the cats , as of smog and I know I have my was around passing.

I drive the car almost daily if I'm not driving my duramax truck. I live in Los Angeles, so yes I know traffic sucks driving stick. I'm just curious if it's streetable with the extra power.

Pros and cons please

Thank in advance

You might want to do a search for information on this cam since it is very well liked on this forum. It is liked by many who run on a road courses because of the really nice torque curve of this cam.

From comments that I remember the cam is pretty large but is reasonably streetable. Although if your car is driven in traffic a lot you may want to go with a less aggressive cam.

Good luck.

Go to the Z06 section and read plenty of reviews

It has 12 degrees of overlap and the newer version has 4 degrees advance so it is VERY torquey, if you want a smoother cam for a DD go with the 116 LSA

The cam is drivable, but you will have to adjust your driving at lower rpm's some. At around 45 mph fifth gear used to be fine but now it will start to shudder unless under more than steady state throttle as an example. If not after that last few hp/torque for a track or ego then I'd go with a 116 which I heard drives almost stock.
