C6 Navigation issue

I am having an intermittent issue with my navigation on my 2006 C6. The screen will go blank and display a message that is something like; "The DVD inserted is not a map DVD". Other times it boots up normally. Looking for any help with this confusing issue. Thanks.

The laser lens is probably dirty. I've had that problem with the CD. I fixed mine by putting a couple shots of compressed air into the slot.

In another similar thread, someone said to NOT use any kind of electronics cleaner in the slot; just dry air or similar gas.
