thats the one. I was wondering if there was a video or a walk through, on how to do it. I read something about a fuse or something. It is on a 2008.
Thanks for the shout out.

I went with the fuse modification on my 2013 C6. I get a 2500 ohm resister from radio shack and soldered it across the terminals of a blown 10amp fuse. I them replaced the 10amp transmission fuse under the hood with it. Simple and cheap fix and you don't need to get under the car.
It is simple. It took longer to get the car on the lift and raised than to install the skip shift. Because it is in an area just above the exhaust I wrapped it in silver foil tape to deflect heat a bit. Heat was never an issue on my C5, just did it as a precaution.

A C6 is different than a C5 in that you don't need to plug in anything under the car. On a C6 there is a fuse under the hood dedicated to the 1-4 skip shift. If you simply pull the fuse it will throw a CEL. But if you take a blown fuse, solder a 2500 ohm resister across the terminals and plug it in, it will disable the skip shift and no CEL. It supposedly can also be done by plugging in a blown "smart fuse".

i plugged in a blown "smart fuse", made no difference, 1-4 light still comes on and the throw wants to slide it into 4th, so i averted that by keeping it under power instead of grannying the thing.
Not all "smart fuses" are created equal and not all work. Soldering the resistor across a blown fuse does work. The 1-4 light will still come on, but it will not restrict your shifting into 2nd.
