First cam install on my 07 Z51. I can't free the condenser from the radiator. The bottom right tab (pssgr side) is giving me problems. When i pull up on the condenser the bottom condenser line pushes on the radiator and moves the condenser sideways and causing it to bind. Is there a trick to this? Anyone just break that tab? Any help is appreciated.

Did my cam swap a couple of years ago and remember having the same problem. Out of frustration I ended up breaking off the tab. It went back together fine and no issues but hopefully someone out there has a better answer. FYI, use a 5/16" dowel to hold up the lifters...ask me how I know. Good luck.
That has been an issue in every cam swap I've done, but you don't need to break the tab. The condenser tube is hitting the radiator. Pull up hard on the bottom of the condenser and it will slide by the radiator.
Thanks. How durable is the condenser? I am afraid to pull to hard in fear of damaging it or the line. How many people have pulled and broken it . I am a little discouraged. I thought this was supposed to be the easy part?

Getting all the crap out of the way is always the fun part
They are fairly durable.. I've bent lines coming off of them before without breaking anything, so you should be able to put a little force on it
Hike up your dress and pull the condenser up like a man. Don't break it, but you'll need to hold the radiator in place and firmly pull up on the condenser to unseat it from the clip.

When you post something like that you should post your picture...so they know who they are dealing with.
LMAO... best advice yet. Going back in tonight after I make some brownies!

Hey Dennis-I'm doing well, thanks for asking... I went to the dark side about a year ago and am currently building a twin turbo coyote.. I just got the fuel system done this weekend and the rest of the turbo goodies will be here soon. It was a nitrous car for the first year but now I'm trying to go really fast. 10.3@131 just wasn't cutting it. Stupid mustangs..

that motor is a beastbet you didnt go threw a bunch of rears or clutches
So far so good. Transmission lasted 10k miles and I replaced it with a tremec. I had a weird eaton true trac failure, but summit warrantied it for me no questions asked. I'm going consistent mid to low 1.4s right now and looking to dip into the 1.3s once I get the turbos all dialed in. We shall see
No worries at all. I appreciate the help. On a side note when i remove the steering pump and rack i will loose some fluid. Does this system have to be bled after re-install? Do i just add fluid the reservoir? I would assume it needs to bleed air.

Nothing to bleed, just top it off, start the car, move steering wheel back and forth, and then check level/add fluid as necessary. She'll whine if you don't have enough fluid.
