After sitting and listening to the radio for about 20 minutes it wouldn't start. I have a 2011 DD with 48k miles. Is it time to replace the battery or does sitting in aux drain the battery that fast. Since getting it jumped it seems to be fine the last two days.
Tried to do a search but something about the sites drop downs wouldn't allow me to sear h from my tablet
I can listen to the radio in my wifes Acadia for an hour at a time while she's in a store and never skip a beat. Turn the acc on and off, times out in 10 mins then back on/off for the next 10. Could be your battery is getting weak.
Well, 3 years/48k shouldn't necessarily mean a new battery but we know it's a strong possibility/probability. IMO, since you rely on the car as a DD it would probably be prudent to put a new battery in it.

Seems to be wise to replace Corvette batteries if you have any issues with them. I have killed batteries by sitting in my truck listening to the radio at lunchtime.
Check the current drain on the battery with the engine off and with the ignition off. A small ammeter is required put it in series with the battery by disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery. Negative battery post goes to negative connection on ammeter positive connection on ammeter goes to negative wiring terminal. If its too high you need to find out why ( not in reverse for manual, interior lights on or something else). Ammeter should be on 10 amp scale to start. Also fully charge the battery with a battery charger with the negative post still disconnected and then load test the battery with the negative post still disconnected. You might also have to check the current draw of the radio I believe the fuse should blow though if its too high. One last thing is the alternator charging the battery correctly and how much current is the starter motor drawing when starting and are all the connections clean and tight on the alternator and starter. Sorry but any of these things could be it so it requires some investigation. Probably not the starter though check it last.
