Charging question guys I need help!
Hey guys I recently had my H/C/I and long tube headers and UD pulley 10%. I am getting a intermitted service charging system message on the DIC, I see my voltage at times will be at around 13.8 then drop down to 12.0 so when it dropped down to the 12.0, I checked the terminal on the back of the alt and it confirms its at 12.0 -11.99 area then it will jump back up to 13.8 and clear. Is the effect from the under drive pulley. If so can the alternator pulley be changed out or is the alternator going bad. Battery test 12.5 with car off.

Underdrive pulley will cause that to happen. I had the same problem. Replaced it with Billet Tech alternator and never had another issue. My stock alternator was fine, it just wasn't made to run at lower RPMs and still put out the required power.
