I notice that my A/C has stopped blowing cold, not good with the Texas summer rapidly approacing. I usualy keep my temps between 60-65 degrees, but it seems that the car is not cooling at all. We have only been in the mid 70s thus far and I am already sweating in my seat. I have a 2009 coupe, Automatic. All fans are working, including the recirc fan. Auto mode kicks the fans up when it detects the cabin temp is high, but still no cooling. Im bringing it into Chevy tomorrow, but just wondering if any experts out there can prepare me fopr what I might be facing.
I'm not an expert but I went through this with my wife's Volvo. They will probably test your compressor for leaks and tell you it needs to be replaced. That won't be cheap.
Thats what I thought, but I will have to find that leak and have that corrected. Does anybody know if the compressoor on the C6 is a pain in the butt to pull like it was in the C5, where the water pump had to be pulled to access it?

BTW, I only have 22,000 miles on it. Shame if that's all the compressor could give me!

Yep, quite the pain. I believe they pull the power steering rack and lower the cradle. No way I was going to attempt it in my garage, although plenty have done it on this forum.
Local Chevy dealer charged $1800 to replace my compressor that was leaking oil, which included $900 for a new compressor. While they were down there, I had them replace the harmonic balancer with an ATI. They just charged me for a new bolt and I supplied the ATI. Something to think about. Net ATI is about $400 I believe.

I'm reading a lot about people with C6 A/C problems being caused by an oriface tube blockage. Hopefully I get off with something like this, a bit less costly.
