Have you checked this with various types of tuning tools? Or does the shop exclusively use one tuning software, assuming it's HP Tuner. Wondering if you have checked any using DiabloSport tuning device. I assumed DiabloSport tuners basically do something similar to a ghost image of a PC. Then when returning to stock, it lays the ghost image back down with no record of any tunes ever installed.

also you can get your stock tune as well so I'll be @ the same side with the guys don't pay the $$$ until you're ready to tune cause it's will be a waste of time and $.

Not sure how the 'vette computer systems work, but IIRC the system in my old F150 basically had a counter that would count how many times the PCM had been reflashed, and there was no way for anyone to reset that counter, not even the build center. Any time your tune would have been flashed by a dealer or someone who was authorized to mess with the system (approved by ford), there would be an entry somewhere in the main Ford network for your vehicle that the PCM had been flashed. If the number of flashes were different than what the network said, the dealer would get suspicious.

I would assume GM employs a similar system. You can reflash to stock all you want, but if they have some sort of unalterable counter they know that someone did something to the PCM.

Like I mentioned before, just doing any mod to your car voids the warranty of whatever you've modded. If you read any of the warranty descriptions, your warranty is void if you take the car on a race track (only from failures while on the track, I assume), your warranty is void if you street race, or do burnouts, or do anything that 90% of people on this forum have done.
Now, most dealers will never know about any of that, so they treat your car as if all you do is drive around on the street at the speed limit obeying each and every traffic law all the time, which I know all of us here do without fail.

I'm sure these parts would lean my car out some, but I was hoping the rich factory tune would cancel it out.
I ran my LS2 car for over a year with no additional tuning after adding ported Fast and headers.put car on dyno to check A/F ratio to make sure it was good to drive and car was fine with an increase of 65 rwhp. check your car's A/F before beating on it.

I'm well aware, but in my original post I said I didn't want to tune and void my warranty. Swapping throttle bodies wouldn't take long at all and wouldn't be traceable.

Should only cost you about $50-$100, depending on where you go. I'm sure they'll try to sell you a tune and feed you some bs about how you need it and you'll shoot a rod through the hood if you don't, but as long as your AFR is safe there shouldn't be any real excessive risk.
Thanks; that's very sound advice.

Let's just say, you do all these mods that are "easy" to swap back to stock. Car breaks down and you are stuck on the side of the road. You call and get a tow. Where does the tow truck take it? Dealer? Your garage? It would have to be your garage because if you take it to the dealer they will see that it is modded. So now you pay 2 tow bills. One to get it to your house so you can swap every thing back to stock, and another to get it to the dealer for warranty work. Starting to seem like more of a hassle than it is worth. My advice, because you posted asking everyone for it, is put the parts on the shelf and wait until your warranty is up. It's always fun and easy to swap stock parts for shiny new power adders, but having to rip everything apart every time it needs to go to dealer for something sounds like a PIA. What if there is a recall on let's say the, idk, pick something non engine related under the hood, are you gonna swap everything back so they don't see it? Just my, well guess it's $.04 now seeing that it's my second post to this thread.

this is only the case if whatever flashed the PCM left some trace of having been there, which is not the case with our products.

Thanks

I used to work for a chevy dealer but still have access to all gm tech2 and gds2 programs and recently did the diablo intune on my 13 vette. Well i took of the intune since i forgot to update it lol and checked to see if there was any evidence in the program of my vehicle and had not found nothing. Went threw every setting on service and programming and everything was normal so id say intune forsure! I love mine really woke up the vette!!

And it's always good to had an unbiased party test it just to make sure as well. Thanks for adding your experience too.

So looks like DiabloSport Predator, Intune, and Trinity canned performance, or custom tunes (like DiabLew Tune) are invisible to GM Service techs as long as you install your stock tune bafore taking your vette in. So, I'd highly recommend tuning away. No worries about voiding your warranty. You will see a big increase just from the tune, and then any bolt-ons will work even better if tune is adjusted with each one you add.
