Default 2005-2007 recall for steering

Does anyone have the recall number for the recall announced on CNN this am for 2005-2007 Corvette steering problem, date should be 5/13-15/2014?

FYI:

OK, just got off the phone with GM, they have not assigned a # to the recall yet because they are having new inter tie rod ends manufactured and will send everyone a recall letter with info on how to get this problem fixed. They did warn me not to drive my 2005 Coupe until the problem has been fixed because the inter tie rods can come loose and cause the steering to be inoperative.

The tie rod end problem is related to certain full size trucks, not the Corvette.

Finally, certain full-size trucks are recalled for a tie-rod defect which may lead to a crash.

From CNN "Huge GM Recall: Chevrolet Corvette, Malibu, Silverado, Tahoe, Cadillac CTS, GMC Sierra, More." News story hit the air on 5/16/14.

I called Chevrolet, there is a recall for the same problem with the trucks, truck recall is for about 400 or so, Corvettes are 2005-2007 for same problem. The reason for my call to Chevrolet was a news store about GM being fined $35M for a number of recalls not address as recalls.

GM has not assigned a recall # yet, because they do not have the parts on hand to fix the problem. Everyone effected should get a recall letter from GM on how to get the steering

You might want to call Chevrolet, as of Friday they have not assigned a "recall #, to the steering problem.
