Default Small Oil Leak

Guys,

I've got a 2006 and I barely drive it with 40K miles on the speedo. I noticed the other day that there was a small oil leak under the car when I moved it out to work in the garage. I know there is a lot of things that it could be, but could this be part of the whole catch can need that I hear of for the LS2? Thanks in advance.

Could be a lot of things. These cars really don't leak much. A common issue is the oil pan gasket. Can you get under it and check for obvious things?

Well, looking at the other posts, it doesn't appear to have anything to do with the catch can, but more oil pan gasket. I will pull on ramps and look around, but I would love to hear what others have found. It's just a small amount. Telling me what each of you have found out, so I could know where to look.

The same thing happened with mine. One day I noticed a couple of drops, and got under the car. I could see a drop or two on the rear bolt heads, and what appeared to be a light film along the side of the pan. I cleaned everything up, and didn't notice it again for a 2-3 weeks, so it was REAL slow. Anyway, it turned out to be a leaking oil pan gasket. I got it replaced about a month ago, and it has been fine since. The oil leak wasn't much, but I just didn't like the thought of knowing it leaked, however slow it was.
