Header ticking solved!
2007 Z06
So, I went with OBX headers and xpipe.
Then got a blackwing intake.
Loud ticking noise from both sides of headers. Researched it and seems common. Remedies included "louder exhaust, turn up radio, add subwoofer"
Turns out, that's what it takes. Did the muffler mod. Sounds like it should sound...LIKE A BEAST! The ticking is minimal.
Still have to get the 7x7" square welded back on each muffler, but it's pretty much straight piped at this point.
The factory mufflers are just too quiet for me. But, to each his own. I miss my c5z, until I go for a ride in my c6z.
