Default 18x12 Weld RTS

I can't get a straight answer on this. Is anyone running an 18x12 weld RTS in the rear?

Also, Need opinions on 17x11 with 325 M&H or 18x12 with 345 M&H ? Both at 28 inch tires. It going on a car that makes mid 700s on blower and occasional small shot of nitrous.

Don't think Weld sells an 18 x 12 but not sure. I run 17 x 11 with the M&H 325s and they work great. It says 28 inch in the specs, but it measures to 27 when installed. They hook as good as anything I have tried, but nothing is going to hook 1st and 2nd at that power level.

I am really curious what offset you ordered. When I was checking there didn't seem to be an 18 x 12 that would work. If you can post the specs on the ones you ordered please.

I run 18x12 Forgestar wheels in the back and 18x10 in the front. My back tires are 345/30-18 M/T drag radials. Standard ZO6 offset with a 1" spacer for my body kit.

Well they finally came in and weld took 5 weeks to make me a set of wheeles with the wrong spokes. They used the mid caliper height for the rear which won't clear. The shop called them and they are agreeing that the wheels won't work on the rear but not really helping in finding a solution. Upset right now... Hoping for more progress tomorrow

The solution is probably to get the 18 x 11 that they list for the car. Its a high pad and will fit properly.

Probably. The question is how fast can they swap them out for the 12s they took a month to make?

I had a similar issue with a mistake in sizes. They super rushed a new set. It was still 3 weeks and they said that was a miracle.

Super rushed IMO is 3 days, not 3 weeks. Its disappointing because THEY KNEW what car they were making the wheels for the entire time.

I agree, but they are made to order... so takes time.

Maybe they have a very very slow forged cutting machine. From the ones I've seen they turn discs of aluminum into wheels in about 30 mins.

I can see why foose has to make his own wheels. He could never overhaul a car with Weld making him wheels.

Seems popular. Why do they keep shipping out wheels that won't work?
