Default Torque converter install- Help

My buddy is installing my 3800 stall on my 05 a4 . He asked if I had everything that he would need parts wide and I said ya. Lol but I was just thinking about the stall nothing else.

I don't want to seem even more dumb . So what other parts, or fluids, or seals/gaskets do I need to have besides the stall it's self.

Hopefully you guys can help out. Thanks guys

You can get just enough fluid to replace what is removed with the converter, but I'd recommend dropping the pan and draining the whole system and changing the filter all at the same time. The pan gasket on the A6 is reusable. I don't know if that applies to the A4 too. You should strongly consider adding a trans fluid cooler now, rather than later.
Do not forget to add a quart to the converter prior to install. It primes the pump.

Default converter install

I just put a 3600 FTI in mine last weekend. Really not a rough job at all. All you will need is fluid. My car is low mileage so I chose not to replace my filter at this time. Do yourself a favor and get a proper transmission jack, the transmission and differential together are a large unit.
You will love the converter. After driving my stock car with a converter only I am impressed with the difference.

A stall that size will increase your chances of burning up your trans dramatically, get one now or get one when you rebuild your transmission.

One minor note - you can't pour a full quart into the converter (even if it's bone dry) unless you want most of it running out when you put it back into the transmission.

Thanks for all the info everyone.

I got an external trans cooler a few weeks ago . Totally forgot it was in my garage.
Going to pick up fluid and filter now. Then dropping it off at my buddies garage.

Excited to see how it's going to run with the cam and 3800 stall that he is going to install for me.

Once again thanks everyone
