Hi everyone, give me some latitude here.... I'm a new owner 09 C6 ... she's pretty much stock and I'm craving a little more throat... she sounds much like my wife's Rav 4 until it get punched up.
Would love to hear some feedback on an exhaust mod to liven things up a bit. Nothing wild but a bit more aggressive.
The Corsa Sport is a nice balance of an aggressive tone and low drone. You also have an option for polished or black tips, depending on the look that you are wanting to achieve. Installation is extremely simple, and the end result is well worth it!
Also, you can always opt for longtube headers depending on your budget and goals. This will wake up the sound even on stock mufflers, but will also net a lot higher of a horsepower gain than just a muffler system.
do you like how it sounds when it opens up, just too quite at a low idle and when cruising?
if your car has the butterflies in the exhaust you can just pull the fuse. a free way to change the sound!!
if you dont like that then look at aftermarket. weve got corsa on 2 of ours. both sound awesome. they have a nice boaty sound at idle and smooth out when you get on it. my dads c3 runs borals and they sound amazing at every range
Lastly, i have a friend with LG on his and its real nice as well. im swapping my c5 to LG. just came in yesterday

Thanks Danny. Maybe dumb question but how do I know if mine has butterflies?
look at the mufflers. you'll see a solenoid on the top of the mufflers right behind the tips
the inner tips flow strait through the muffler and are not as muffled
when this opens the exhaust takes the path of least resistance
the outer tips you cannot see strait through as they go through the chambered part of the muffler and are a bit quieter
but yea you'll see a mechanism tucked above the mufflers tips
you can just put 'c6 muffler butterflies' in on google images and the first few you see will give you the idea
when i get home i'll look at my moms car and see exactly which fuse it is
I went with the Borla stingers and really enjoy them but my first choice would have been the NPP. (No one was selling them at a reasonable rate then) It keeps your car stock in that regard and you can clap on or clap off. 4 Hours in a car with that size of motor and an aggressive exhaust gets old fast. Good luck!!

Set of LG headers and Magna flow mufflers will satisfy you
I am in the same situation debating Corsa touring vs Corsa sports. The shops around me here in Detroit say that the corsa Sports system is obnoxious Your thoughts? I want a nice tone but not overly loud. Does anybody have history with the course touring, is it too quiet?

I think the Touring is no longer available. As far as shops in Detroit saying Corsa is "obnoxious" makes me believe there's some sort of a major problem with those shops! Nothing about any Corsa is obnoxious!
You can find Corsa touring still On certain websites. One has it for 1600 shipped. The shops in Detroit are staying the corsa sports is obnoxious I' am not saying I agree with that of course just wanted your guys feedback on whether you feel it's too over-the-top or just right.

Over the top is Xtreme or Bullets with headers and offroad. My opinion is you don't get better than Corsa Sport for a tremendous sound or Xtreme for quite a bit more thunder.
I have the corsa sport axle backs only and it's nothing near obnoxious. I'm actually looking for headers to add a little more sound to my Z. Happy with idle, zero drone and WOT after 4k during pulls but want a bit more from 1k-4k. That 1-4k sound is majority of the powerband that I use because it's my weekend driver on the streets. Anytime I go over 4k outside of 1st gear is basically driving at illegal speeds. Being in CA I'm gonna have to remove headers back to stock every other year for smog purposes IF I ever pull the trigger on it. If you have a good set of speakers/headset then YouTube and corsa.com videos are very accurate sound wise to hearing them in person.
Thanks to all for your input and knowledge. Going to do some serious youtube listening now.

Yesterday I installed the Corsa Sport with the X/O pipes. I LOVE it. I had axle back Magna Flow on my 2006, and it just wasn't enough. With the Corsa on the 2013, it has a deep rumble on startup, idle and acceleration. However at highway speeds you simply can't hear it. It is perfect for me. The shop talked me into the x/o pipes and that really completes the deal. Yes, it was another $360.00 but well worth it in the long run.
