Not a problem to be taken lightly.

Read this if you haven't already:

Most recommend installing an ATI balancer and new bolt but that's up to you.

Don't get another stock HB. If you can't swing an ATI, at minimum get a Powerbond HB there a much better unit over the stock one.

I picked up a brand new ATI balancer for $200 on ebay. They sell units with tiny imperfections that won't affect performance for cheap.

That's way high. I had mine done 2 years ago at the dealer and it was $1300 including 4-wheel alignment and I've seen cheaper than that too.

Not clear whether or not you've had the work done, but if not & since you mentioned Kerbeck's, I presume you're in central or south Jersey. If that's the case, call the guys at ECS (East Coast Supercharging) in Cream Ridge. They will probably give you options for a replacement OEM HB or an aftermarket unit like an ATI. Their work will be excellent & I suspect their price will be less than Kerbeck's.

I bought the Power Bond and had a local Performance shop, if they do cam swaps on Vettes they can do this easily.

That's where I bought mine from as well. It's where ATI sells their blemish pulleys.

We have the Powerbond underdrives that will give you a few more ponies for the same price as the ATI. Bolt on and go...BUT I would also recommend a crank pinning kit whichever pulley you go with.

http://www.coloradospeed.com/ati-pro...s-p-21976.html
that one OR
http://www.coloradospeed.com/ati-per...1-p-11557.html
that one. Both good kits. Both work well. Will def save you a headache next time as well.
we also have the standard GM crank bolts AND the ARP bolts as well.
