Short Throw Shifter & Boot
All of the posts on CF suggested a new boot or ,,putting a tie wrap around the boot and cinching it to the new shift rod before installation.
What I did was use a rubber grommet, like the kind from Home Depot or Autozone etc that you use when you drill a hole in into a sheet metal or firewall and you use the grommet to protect the wires that you shove thru the hole. Total cost is less than $1.00
I measured the I.D. of the boot hole, and then measured the OD of the Shift Rod.
Slip the Grommet over the shift rod and push the boot into the slot in the center of the Grommet, the cool part is that it is rubber so no vibrating or noise issues.
