P0442 code w/ new cap
My 07 keeps throwing the P0442 code. I got a new cap from GM a month or so ago and it has thrown the code 2 more times. What is the next step to trace down this problem. I still do get a slight gas smell here and there. Thanks in advance

Did you ever hear anything back on this or find a fix.....my son's 2000 does the same thing
