My 08 Convertible is showing a "Check Oil Level" warning. I checked the level and it is right on the upper mark. The oil pressure is 30 at idle and goes up from there. No other indications. Pressures and temps are normal.
This is a stock wet sump engine LS3 so I would like to know more about this system, and find a fix. Any suggestions appreciated.
I would go over the wires and maybe disconnect and reconnect the electrical wiring. Then see if that works.
It will be on the side of your oil pan, and the part runs 55$ list price. I can get them for 25, but shipping may be every bit of 20 dollars
You also have to drain your oil to replace it, and shouldn't be more than 18 foot pounds to tighten it.
T=OK, thanks for the info. Can you PM me with info or source you use for this part. I'll plan on an oil change while I'm at it. This has got to be a sensor issue. Thanks
