Default vibration/whine

2006 A6 base 92,000 miles.. took my nephew for a ride in the car and when i got back i noticed i felt a slight vibration in the shifter and a whine that sorta felt like a bearing (reminded me of how a bearing in a alternator or tensioner feels/sounds when bad). Turned the car off, and went inside. On the way home I noticed it mainly in lower gears and it seems mostly on decel. This morning same issue. Its very hard to explain. Not the "marbles in a can" sound but a vibration/whine/bearing type sound and feel. Its not a vibration that shakes the car or anything.. just noticable.

Got to work and could still hear it. I noticed when I was parking the sound was there in neutral and reverse but stopped in drive (when sitting still).. torque tube bearings? Trans? reminder: its a automatic A6 Sorry i cant be more descriptive.

UPDATE: Drove my car at lunch.. pinpointed the noise to decell only. usually in 1st and 2nd.. sorta "metallic rubbing sound". sounds like it more to the front than in the rear. Trans upshifts and downshifts fine. If I were to guess, maybe the front bearing in the torgue tube? I'm not sure how these are set up. Any thoughts?

Try it with and without the A/C compressor engaged.
