I will not be tracking it in any way. Driving around town and some road trips.
This will sound stupid but buy the best car you can find in your price range. With the many improvements made starting in '08 it would be great to find a newer one. However, if your budget is smaller (not necessarily what you can afford, but what you want to pay) an '05-'07 in great shape will give you miles of smiles.
All of the problems with the 05 rear diff (and I haven't about read many here) are with the M6 trans. The auto A4 seems to not have any trouble with it.
Differential problems occurred with those drag racing or putting the car through extreme track situations. If you are a street use only person, you shouldn't have that problem and if you are otherwise satisfied with this very low mileage vehicle then I would say go for it. Understand that the following year brought about a six speed auto, but if the four speed is good enough for you then fine. If you can afford to go for another year or two later model you will benefit from additional features.

Power and manual top?
Mag ride, Z51 and Reg suspension?
2 braking systems?
4? sets of wheels?
2 sets of tires?
6? exterior colors?
3 interior colors?
etc, etc, etc.
Every option is not a good thing just more to go wrong. Plus I hear the nav is only so so. I do like the Z-51 package with optional rear end. I have the list of options somewhere will look for it again but the other options are a waste like telescoping wheel, the front light control etc.
I have had two 3LT cars: a 2006 Coupe and a 2013 Grand Sport. That's every option minus Nav on the 06 and every option minus leather wrapped interior on the 13. I never thought about heated seats until my 06. Now even my Corolla has them.
If you are just worried about it breaking then why even have a car?
'Every Option' in your case would be Preferred Equipment Group 1SB From HERE.

You don't understand "every option" the same as I do.
1SB is ONE option on an '05. There are optional exterior colors, interior colors, suspensions, wheels, tires, transmissons, differential ratios, sound systems, etc, etc, etc.
It would be impossible to have ALL options since many are an "either/or" choice.
Touche
But 1SB is not 1 option it is a package of options:
AJ7 - Airbags
K11 - Air Filtration
Cargo Convenience Net
AG2 - Seat Adjuster Front Passenger
AJ7 - Airbags frontal impacts driver and front passenger
UV6 - Heads Up Display
UG1 - HomelinkTransmitter
D42 - Luggage Shade
AAB - Memory Package
DD0 - Mirrors inside rearview with compass and driver outside rearview auto dimming
AQ9 - Front Sport Seats Perforated Leather seating surfaces, back angle adjustment, adjustable lumbar and Side Bolsters
KA1 - Seat Heaters
US9 - Sound System AM/FM 6 disc Changer
N37 - Steering Column telescopic manual tilt
Not to include all Corvette Standard Installed Equipment. Which would make it 'every option' where there would not be a redundancy as in 4 seats, with and without airbags
Navigation is not in this Package nor are any Performance Options ie. Z51 F55, J88, GU6
When someone says to me that a car has every option I take it to mean that it is "Loaded". It is laughable to even assume a car could have every paint color, every interior color and combination, every transmission, every Engine, be both a convertible and a coupe with every Convertible Top color, both Targa tops in every color etc. etc. etc. Unless of course it is a 49-73 Cadillac once owned by Johnny Cash
So by your definition a car with every option cannot exist. as it cannot have Nav and 6-Disc Changer, Z51 and Non Z51 parts, M6 and A4/A6, 2.73 rear end and 3.42 rear end, A/C and Dual Zone A/C, etc.etc.etc. Therefore the term should never be used.
That sounds like a customer I overheard at a dealership arguing with the General Manager that they had falsely advertised a vehicle as being fully loaded because he wanted blind spot monitors, but it wasn't offered. By his definition the vehicle could not be fully loaded because of this lack of installed equipment even though it wasn't even available. The GM literally laughed so hard at his rant that we heard him in the next show room. He told him to by the vehicle or get out.
Before you answer I will tell you what your response is going to be: You would have sued the dealership for False Advertising and then filed suit against the GM for mental anguish. You would have then proceeded to talk smack about him and the 'stealership' to all of your friends, anyone that would listen to your banter, making it so they never sold another vehicle again. Eventually they would put a going out of business sign on their marquis and you could proudly hold your head up high because it was all thanks to you!
