Does anyone know how to install a shift light on our C6s? I'm not looking for one of those big obnoxious ones that drag racers use that are like 6 inches long. I just want a way to hook up a small LED that is rpm activated so I don't hit the rev limiter. Please let me know your ideas.
If you have heads up display (HUD) you can see an up arrow light before hitting the rev limiter. Of the 3 HUD selections this arrow works in one of the track options. Maybe in all 3, but I never use the other 2 so im not certain.

I will look for the arrow up but I don't think it will be bright enough or have enough contrast to get my attention during a drag race, there are a lot of things to keep track of in that short 11-12 second run.
Thanks for the link. The install seems relatively straight forward. I was actually thinking I would need to use an inductive pick up off one of the coil packs and poke a hole in the firewall. The method in the link seems a lot cleaner, especially since I do have the HUD.
I assume you are referring to the Digital Pro Shift System gauge. What part of the gage lights up? Is it the perimeter of the face?
How do you like it?
I assume you mounted it to the left of the steering wheel. How do you like that position?
Would you do it again?

The only thing I would do different is that I would paint the SLP pod. I will remove it this winter and paint it.
Turns out I can't use the SLP pod. I already have as two gauge pillar pod and the SLP pod will interfere with it. Looks like I'll probably need to use a mini-tube shift light.
