Default Driving/Fog Light Question

I have been looking at several options to make the driving lights brighter and whiter. The options I have seen are the HID conversion on here, I like that idea. Also I have seen others change the bulbs to a Silver Star or another brand. I have also seen others go to, as an example, a Silver Star Ultra in a higher watt bulb. The 9145 is 45 watts, so I have heard people putting 80 to 100 watt bulbs in. Then I hear of heat and wiring problems due to excessive current.

Would it be ok to bump it up just a little such as from the OEM 45 watt to say 65 watt?

What are some good options?

Also, is there a high beam HID kit so that high and low beams are HID?

Ghost

I wouldnt go with higher wattage bulbs for the reason you mentioned. HIDs are brighter anyway. I got mine from corvette mods 2 years ago and still working perfect. I think they have a high beam conversion kit too.

I posted a question on another thread where they are offering a deal to forum members for the HID Conversion for the driving lights so hopefully they will let me know.

Thank you!

CorvetteMods has good deals, sometimes on a combo of high Beam and Fog HID's. I bought my Highs and Fogs over a year ago and I like them a lot. I drive a lot of country roads and am always on the look out for animals, hell one night there was a Bear sitting in the middle of the road.lol. Ya won't be disappointed with CorvetteMods product and customer service.

I have the Corvette Mods high beam, low beam, and fog lights on my GS. Plenty bright, work flawlessly, and I don't get flashed by oncoming cars.
