If checking the gas cap fixed it, the system still needs a few start and run cycles to clear the code. You must either wait for this or clear the code with a reader. My point is that unless you read the codes, fixing something that causes a light will not turn off the light right away. The system is designed to go through a few cycles in order to make sure that the condition is really gone.

Thanks. I'll try to get codes read. Just makes no sense since car has been sitting and then does this
