Default Seat Ajustment

Hello all, I recently purchased a windscreen for my 09 convertible. It is the clear Lexan type which never gets removed and the top can be put up without removing the screen.
My problem is that when I open my door the seat automatically retracts to the full back position rubbing and pushing up against the windscreen. Is there a way to stop the seat from retracting fully to the back position?

Thank you!

Yes, either turn off the easy exit memory for the seats, or reprogram the seats so they don't go so far back if you still want want to leave easy exit system on.

Also to note, I turned off my easy exit memories a long time again. The less that the the seat is being adjusted back and up, the longer that the motors are going to last. Plus I'm larger framed, so the seats are adjusted pretty far back to drive the car to start with, and learned a long time ago how to get in and out of the car without wearing out the seat side bolsters.

Thank you, I guess I should check the manual on how to shut it off or adjust it.
Thank you!!!

Another reason to turn off the easy exit feature is that the wiring harness connectors under the seat are vulnerable to damage from the constant fore and aft movement of the seat. This is a very common problem here on the forum. I know that the seat should be able to be moved often without worrying about the wires, and that it is a poor design, but it is what it is and the best we can do is deal with it.
