hey fellas, I have a 12 gs aut, with lg superpro long tube headers, hps performance cam, yank ss 3200 performance torque converter, and cai, just recently car sounded different and felt different and engine light is on. Anybody know of what issues to look for as well as where to take car as I am in Michigan and bought car outa state with 3800 miles and now has 5900. Thanks for the help!
The only real way we can help you help yourself is if you get the OBD codes read. If you don't have a scanner you can take the car to someplace like Autozone or similar store and they will read the codes for free. Then you can post them here and we'll have something to talk about. Without the codes everything is pure speculation.

Oh, you can get a basic scanner for around $30, then adding features raises the price upwards of $100 or more.
The most popular and easiest brand to get is Actron and they seem to work quite well. Most auto parts stores have them as does Sears, etc. There are other brands of course and they are probably all about the same, it's basic code reading, but the Actron is is just more prevalent.
Try Googling Actron and look at the models and what they offer before you go so you'll have a better idea of what they do. Oh and just make sure what you get is CAN Bus capable. I think most are now but just check.

When you bought the car did it have the mods to it already or did you do them? If you did them, who did the tune and install, are they nearby where you can take the car back and have them look at it?
