Default lowering my c6

Does anyone have any recommendations on where or what company sells the mono leaf springs to maybe drop my 2005 c6 a inch or so? I already noticed the driver side front and back has some stress cracks on my original springs and I'm not sure how safe that is. So if I'm going to replace them I'd like lowering it a little. I have just a standard c6. Any input is appreciated

You can probably achieve your 1" lowering desire by using a replacement stock spring with its stock height adjustment bolts which come with the new spring. The new stock spring is available at several GM parts forum sponsors such as www.gmpartshouse.com .

Good excuse to get coilovers and you can adjust the height to what you want.

For what it's worth, I got right at 1" with the stock bolts. I know you are thinking about spring replacement, coil overs are nice, and expensive. The stock spring and bolts should give you all you want. I went with Nitto Invo's 295/35's on the front tires and 345/30's on the rear and it filled up the wells nicely.

Oh ok cool I didn't know you could adjust the stock bolts to lower it some. My other thing is a few stress fractures in my stock springs. I mean that may be normal and I still run the car hard and they haven't gotten worse. But is it normal for the mono leafs to have little cracks on the driver side of both?

It would be helpful if you post a picture of what cracks you are talking about. I wouldn't say cracks are normal.

Yeah mine are some lines about a few inches long but only on a corner. Not all the way across or deep. Just maybe 1/8 fractures and a little 1 popped up like a splinter. If I have a chance to get it in the air I'll post a pic

I remember some on the C5 forum I used to frequent talking about that problem with stress cracks in the leaf. I would replace it. That spring is the only thing standing between your car and diaster.
