Hi everyone,
09 mn6, npp, bone stock here. I want to get full exhaust/vararam/tune and wondering if I can leave NPP and the stock midpipe and just add a set of good headers. Question is, does the stock NPP catback and midpipe flow good enough or am I going to see some restriction with this setup vs full aftermarket exhaust?

Any traditional full length headers you get will need a matching midpipe. You will not use the original midpipe with headers. As far as the over axle portion of the original NPP exhaust, that can be reused. There is little to no power to be gained by switching it. Plenty of high hp cars using the NPP mufflers. Changing the mufflers is generally done only for sound.
