Default Keyless entry?

Hello! I've been a little while since become the happy owner of a C6 Z51 -07 :-)

But unfortunately, I have a little trouble getting into the driver's door from the outside, from the inside, it is no problem whatsoever. The passenger door works fine to enter in & outside. Proposal?

Have tried to change the "touch panel" from the passenger door with no luck. Have also tried to change the battery in F0B without success.

Thanks in advance.

Try pulling the door pads apart and cleaning them.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-fix-easy.html

Also, if the door pads need cleaning, then bank that you need to pull the rear hatch releae button above the license plate and clean it at well.

Hello!
thanks for the reply!

I have today taken apart door pad with no luck:-(
Have also had disassembled the door latch on the driver's door, no direct fault there either.?

Will check on the rear hatch release button tomorrow.

Just thought of one thing, it may not have anything to do with that I only have one FOB?
It may need to be reprogrammed ???

A few more tips?

thanks in advance!

I had this issue come up w/the 2008 that I had. A bit of Lithium grease in the gear where the door mechanism does it's thing had worked for a little while. In the end though, the whole door mechanism had to be replaced, that little engine that could, could not any more.

Hello again

Unfortunately, the problem remains with the door Any more ideas? There were no error codes on the door in our workshop.

Could it be the wiring harness? Lock case?

Thanks in advance

Possibly the door lock module.

If you push the door release button on the inside of the car door, does the window index down and the door opens. And again, the push button on the door, and not the emergency release handle down on the floor.

If the window indexes down, the door opens when you push the inside button, then the locking latch itself is fine.

So that moves us back to either the pull pad on the door being corrode and needs to be cleaned, or the harnesses in the door for the wiring is loose/you have a broken wire instead, and why the car is not getting a signal from the door pad, but the interior button instead.

If the door doesn't open using the outside button but it does open using the inside button the problem is with the door pad. Clean, swap with the pad on the other side of the car or replace. If neither the outside pad or inside switch open the door the problem can be with the control module inside the door or with the latch in the B pillar. Usually if you are having problems with the door control module there are problems with the window not indexing properly.

Hello again!
Yes the window senses when I press the button, so the window goes down.

The pull pads, I have tried to change from the other side without success. Have even taken it down on the driver's side and made clean it without success.

Ideas?

thanks Tobbe

Sounds like you have a wiring problem inside the door between the connection inside the door and the outside door pad.
