Passenger window screeching noise

Hello, this started to happen last week, when the passenger window goes down it makes a screetching noise, any ideas???

My 08 was doing the same,then it went dead! Would not roll up or down.Dealer replaced the regulator.No problem since..Good Luck

So was I,but i have a GMPP & the cost was around $1100.I've heard some guys replaced them their self.Easy fix if that is your problem....

I had the wire on mine start to fray and catch in the motor. That was the screeching noise. Soon after it died because the wires were too tangled in the motor. It is an easy replacement. Just mark the glass carefully on the new regulator because you want your window to align correct for opening and closing. Maybe use a marker and outline the glass around the tabs of old regulator to new.
