Fellas after months of waiting and seeing pretty good reviews/feedback......I had my VMax ported ls3 manifold installed and gained a whopping 1.8 hp! I know dynos read different from day to day and has a million variable, but WTF!

I would't expect to gain anything unless you have a heavily modded engine or a positive displacement blower behind it. I bought a hand ported one and my expectation was to gain responsiveness...nothing else. This is on a cammed full exhaust ls3.
It's only going to take the air in the cam allows or that the exhaust allows to expel. Like how ppl upgrade fuel systems thinking they will make more power.
Gotcha, well hopefully the gains will shine when I add my cam. I was expecting much, but damn, lol! A nice little increase across the power band would have been nice.
Tune gets ok improvement and response. Going to 4:10 diff also adds performance pleasure.
Cams add some power but also have driveability issues as they get larger along with increase valve train wear and maintenance.
Improving heads along with a cam and other bolt ons can bring good power gains but it is easier just going with a supercharger and getting more power. It can be taken off too easier.
Plus the power is there when you need it and with light throttle drives like stock.
If you want real power go F/I.
Everything else is just small gains.
Your $$'s, spend as you wish.

I have been debating the blower for the past few months. Uncle Sam sent me on a little journey too and it will be a substantial time frame before I am stateside again. At the moment my brother is car sitting for me.

I'm assuming the dyno runs were done on the same dyno, shop, operator, etc? How far apart? How were the gains throughout the rest of RPM band, not just peak?
Do you have any other mods? The stock LS3 IM isn't as restrictive as the LS2's so a stock/minor bolt-on LS3 probably wont benefit much from it.

Although I've been through the n/a route and as fast as 11.30@124 with nothing but a cam, ptb, ud pulley and full exhaust with very little testing, I still went ahead and ordered a sc kit. I do my own work, so it may not be the same for everyone. I had a supercharger before on a different car and it is definitely the easiest way to make power and possible the cheapest after everything is said and done.
If you want the best price on an ECS kit let me know. I bought mine for an awesome price with a vendor here.
Btw, stay safe wherever you are
