Default Automatic/stall converter question

This question actually pertains to the automatic in a 5th gen Camaro, the long n short of it is I have a yank 3600 stall converter in a head/cam/intake car and though it runs great the driveability on the street seems like the converter is just too loose, I know yank will do a free tightening but I recently became aware of a "trick" fix for tightening up a loose converter by using 303 hydraulic fluid, now my question is this....there seems to be no real major down side except I've head that the filter in some late model transmissions won't flow enough to use this fluid so I was wondering if anyone out there can confirm this or generally have any info on doing this, any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
