Default Advice needed. damaged engine harness

I made an awful mistake after doing a cam swap, I routed the engine harness going to the abs module on top of steering rack instead of under which resulted in the harnes getting wrapped up into the pulley system and completely torn the harness into. I figured I would first cut and splice the harness back together, but there was several same colored wires (4) blue, and (2) orange. So I just guessed on those and spliced them in. After getting it all back together , I tried to start car and still have nothing. Hit start button and everything goes black for a few seconds then comes back on. Obd2 code reader still won't link to ecm. Only thing that changed is now the fuel pumps prime up unlike before when everything was cut.
So should I just replace the harness now? Is it possible with engine in car?
Or should I look into the ecm being fried from all the wires being tangled up together?
Or Could by Abs module be bad causing these symptoms?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated because I'm at a loss as of now.
Thanks

Contact forum vendor Gene Culley at GM Parts House and get a new engine harness for your car. It sounds like you mangled your harness so at least remove the harness as a variable in your starting problem.

You will have to pull the intake manifold, battery and battery tray, at the very least, to snake in the new harness. Perhaps someone who has done this can give you better insight, but I hope that you could do this without having to pull or drop the motor.

Sounds like the right thing to do.
