I asked this question in the C6 parts for sale section, but I will ask it here of you guru's of the "car"..
Is there any reason, a NAV/radio/bluetooth system will not work in a 2006 car? (That DOES have a factory NAV system already...just no Bluetooth, which I want))
I do know I will have to find a wiring harness that goes from the switches in the steering wheel to the radio.
Will I have to buy a whole new steering wheel (OUCH!) or can I order or scrounge off a wreck (Heaven forbid!), the cover(s) that have the switches built in?
Any issues anyone can think of, that I might encounter?

You will of course have to have the Nav unit with Bluetooth, the buttons for the steering wheel as well as the harness from there to the Nav unit.
You will also need the microphone and harness that goes from the top of the windshield pillar down to the harness for the Nav. Your nearest Vette salvage yard should be able to provide what you seek.

He has the older nav now so he already has the microphone in the pillar. All navs had voice command which required the microphone.
It sounds like you're just completely replacing your unit...there's no reason why the new head unit won't work. Now having said that I'm not a car stereo guy...but last year I had a Kenwood DNX890HD unit put in my '07...and with the steering wheel harness all functions worked as intended...good luck!!
