Default Smelly air conditioner

Smelly air conditioner
I have an oily smell coming through my air conditioning vents; the problem started after the dealer replaced the oil pan gasket under the power train warranty. I brought it back after I drove it for awhile hoping the order would disappear. They replaced a filter and said they didn't notice a problem, but the problem is still there. They examined the car for oil leaks and said they could not find a problem. What could cause this problem? Would recharging the system help? I have an extended warranty until 8/15, but does not cover recharging. Could it be the compressor? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Corvettetony

Take it back to the dealership and MAKE them fix it, end of discussion. If they do not then call customer service in Detroit they will get it done for you, ask me how I know.

You're probably smelling spilled oil from the engine compartment. How many miles has it been since the service?

They probably spilled some oil on the exhaust pipes. It should burn off after driving for a while. If not, bring it back.

Its been 5K miles; they changed the filter 1K miles ago and still there is an odor. Can the compressor omit odors into the system?
