My clutch pedal went to the floor the other day. I tried pumping, changing the fluid with a turkey baster no luck.
The next step is to get at the slave bleed but I cannot see where it is. I saw a bunch of old threads about this but there don't seem to be any that still have pictures.
Anyone have any pictures of the location and a description of what is needed to remove on the car to get at the bleed ?
I guess I will go ahead and install a remote bleeder.
I have a hard time believing that just fluid contamination caused a complete hydraulic failure and that it is not the master cylinder etc, any experience with this?
The best I can do is the attached file copied from the Service Manual. You can pretty much forget about installing the remote bleeder unless you drop the drive train.

I just did a clutch last week and don't see how you can even bleed it with the drive train in.
My clutch went to the floor last weekend...had to have it towed home. Changed the master cylinder and it has never felt better.
I'm was getting soft clutch pedal for about a year...I guess it eventually failed completely.
Clutch master is the cheapest/quickest part to change in that system.
Before removing the drivetrain to check the slave, I would throw a new master at it...comparatively very inexpensive part...and more likely the problem.

Guys thank for the info. I will go the master route, I think that is the issue, but I am still going to have to get the air out of the line I guess after a bench bleed?
sorry to highjack, but what you guys think is my problem, my zr1 clucth pedal is really harder than any other zr1. all of them are stock clutch mine included! I got the car at 6000 miles and the fluid never was changed it was almost pasta inside the reservoir!! is the master or the slave or both??? i really dont feel like taking apart the drive train!!!
