New plugs ???
My 2005 coupe, A-4 is now getting around 24 MPG on the interstate. I changed plugs about 3 years ago with the same brand OEM plugs. I read about the E3 .54 plugs and they say they are pretty good plugs and they help with your gas mileage. I drove over 150 miles between 75-78 MPH and got only 24 MPG. I went from 28 MPG to 26 MPG when I ditched the run-flats but now it’s down to 24. How often should I change the plugs? The air filters are new. Oh I forgot I installed a Magnaflow exhaust system after I ditched the run-flat. Should I check the gap on the plugs or just buy new ones.

I changed the wire with the plugs. Don't know how to check them. In the old days you wait until night fired the engine up and see if there are any sparks coming from the wires. I did that no sparks. Is there a plug wire tester?
