Default My next steps ???

Hi

I plan on doing the following to upgrade my new (Used) 07 vert Z-51;

Change therm to 160 deg

Cold Air Intake

Street Tune

Change brake fluid to Wildwood

Check anti freeze (live in Ga.)

This is what l did in my last C5 and it changed everything but some of the above may not work with the C6.

Also what order or all at once?

Thanks

Alan

Those are pretty basic mods and go hand in hand so they should be done together. In fact, some tuners actually advertise and package that as a Stage 1 kit. Along with the 160*stat, have the tuner change what time the fans turn on. But any tuner worth their software credits will know that. You wont see a substantial power increase but the drivability will improve and the TM can be scaled back allowing you to actually use the 400hp GM gave you. If you feel like spending the cash, a set of headers would be a nice addition and will give you a decent power increase you should be able to notice. You'll then have a good base to go almost anywhere you want to after that.

The brake fluid and coolant are more of a maintenance improvement but certainly worth doing. When changing the brake fluid be sure not to completely drain the system and allow air to get in. If that happens you may have to get the ABS reset at a dealer. Search on here for a more detailed write up.

When I got my 07 f55, I did a radiator flush and changed the differential fluid. Next I planned on brake fluid flush, trying to cover my basis to know the fluids are good.

Get a good set of headers installed before the tune.
