Default WOT, then "service active handling" message

Couldn't resist temptation.................long straight road, a brief WOT.
'05 base coupe, A4

One minute later, the message. In the garage, turned car off, restarted and no message! Took it for another calmer drive and all seemed well.

Next step probably is to check for a code, but what do you think caused the message? What is actually serviced when "service active handling" appears?
Thanks for your sage opinions.

Loose spark plug wire, BCM, EBCM seem to be the most common. Check all your plug wires first, obviously codes will help you...

If you telescope the steering wheel often, it could be the connector on the column.

Default SAH message

Thanks for the replies. I will check for codes. Don't have telescoping column, so that's eliminated.

Did you have a CEL along with the SAH? Failures in the engine or engine controls can sause the SAH message since the engine controls are unable to properly control torque reductions if the EBCM requests them. AH is a function of the EBCM and the antilock brake system. A number of ABS codes reset with an engine start so you may have to wait for a recurrence and then leave the engine running to read the code. Will also need a scanner capable of reading ABS codes in addition to OBDII codes.
