Coil Question

..... Which of the OEM LS Series Coil Packs is considered the best performer ? ... I have a Gen 1 engine that I'm converting to a coil near plug set-up ... I have a set of '01 Z06 coils ... Will they work with 13:1 compression ? ... Is there a better alternative ? ............

The LS7 are the same as the truck coils and they work great. I have Accel coils, but the OE are better.

Remember that with only one coil, it had to charge and discharge 8 times for every revolution of the engine. Now with 8 coils, the workload is 8 times less on each coil. Any setup will work fine because the coils are not working very hard at all...even with 13:1 compression.

The spark plug wires are similar...they are only about 2 inches long, so at that length, the difference between one and another is negligible...buy wires that look good because there really isn't any performance difference.
