Im ready to upgrade the power on my car and im looking for about 500rwhp. I have stock 2007 with 22k miles M6. Have a local shop that was recommended to do the work. They gave me some ideas of what it would take to get there and cost. Just wondering if any members have had the same goal and what they did to get there. They said that around 7k would get me there. Whats have you guys done to see similar power and what cost was associated. Thanks

The easiest and possibly most cost effective way of reaching your power goal would be to do a supercharger from A&A or Edelbrock. If memory serves, the A&A system sells for around 5500 bucks, plus installation. The E-Force kit is around 7 grand. Both deliver 500+ rwhp.
If you stay normally aspirated, you'll need intake, headers, heads, cam and a good tune.
Or you can just go the nitrous route... very cost effective power there.

Lots of choices, it all depends on what you want and the depth of your pockets.

Good luck with your car, have fun!

Well i was thinking of going the cam, heads, ect route but wasn't sure if that would get me to my goal. Setting it up that way i was thinking it would leave for a sc later when i want more power. would it make a difference if i went sc first then cams head ect later. not big on nitrous, trying to stay healthy.

Well good luck with a cam and a S/C and staying healthy.

Just go the forced induction route and be done with it and still have the motor buttoned up.

Down the road a clutch will be needed and save some $$ for tires.

Get to crazy and driveline components might need attention too.

The beauty is the car will drive like stock till you put your foot in it.

I went with a mild custom can from Tick Performance with a set of PFADT headers only and got to 470 RWHP in a very street able set up. Picked up 70 ft lbs of torque at 3200 rpm.
