Just curious if anyone has ran the rear wheels up front. I'm looking at buying some 17" wheels for the rear and instead of buying new fronts (one wheel is scuffed from hitting a curb) I'll just swap the rears out to the front. The size difference from a 245/40R18 to a 275/40R19 is just .1" but I want to know if the backspacing will clear.
Looking for some 275's on the rear with drag radials to hook up with 7xx-8xx whp.
Correct but there's still a chance it will fit correctly possibly with a spacer and no rubbing of the fenders. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried it. I'm deployed to Japan right now otherwise I would just swap them myself and see what happened.
My only comment is that I ran 10'' front rims and 11''rear with 275/305 tires on my 2008 coupe. This is up from the stock 8 1/2" front and 10" rear, with 245/285 tires.
I did not like the steering feel with the larger tires up front. The car was sluggish in steering response.
Going back to the stock setup further proved my assumption.
