I'm planning on installing a set of headers and have been going back and forth between what I consider the most popular but I just saw a post today saying Pfadt Racing is now back in business so I was wondering who is running their headers and what made you go with them as opposed to the other popular brands on the market. Any input would be appreciated.

I've read some of the posts about Pfadt lately but I love my Pfadt headers. To me I was after torque and Pfadt claimed to have the greatest increases down low. Other people I know also recommend them so I bought a set on Black Friday last year. Install on my dry sump GS was an afternoon on the garage floor. The hardest part of the install was re routing the O2 wires. No regrets.
There are a lot of great headers out there for the Corvette. We generally go with the American Racing, KOOKS or Stainless Works in our builds as they are quality US built products.
We're running some crazy discounts on Kooks this weekend (too low to post), so you probably better decide and act quickly!
Feel free to call, email, or PM us anytime with questions!

Are you implying that the Pfadt headers are not US built?
Well since Pfadt is back on here with aFe... nobody will probably be able to speak poorly of them, nor will I as I have no experience with them butttt with that said, I love my Kooks headers. They fit perfect and perform well. I've installed them on my Corvette, other Corvettes as well as tons of other GM vehicles (GTO's, Camaro's, G8's...).
Headers? "Power Output" should be your first & last concern.
That's why you buy headers in my book. From all that I have gather the 4 into 1 long tube design make the most. I use 1 3/4" which usually make more torque down low than 1 7/8" on average and about the same hp at the very top of the rpm band. The 2 or so extra hp that the 1 7/8" "may" make at the "very" top end (depending where you read) will not make up for what is lost at lower rpm's in torque/hp; where your engine spends more time anyway even during a race!
I have 1 3/4" headers with stock 430 hp mufflers on my 2010 bolt-on Grand Sport (headers, cai=home made oem, intune, tires). Can we say 125 mph in the 1/4 mile in a full weight including wiper fluid with a 260 lb. (naked ) fat man driving with extra junk in the trunk to boot.
I wanted to go 1 7/8" headers! but after much research I had to go with what I found overall to perform the best as far as design and size. If I were to buy another set of headers I would go with ARH or Kooks. I do like that ARH has the X-pipe meeting closer to the headers; Oh and the x-pipe I use is the 3" dia.
It's old but check out my Header/CAI thread below if interested:

Grand Sport man ... that's for your input . Experience speaks volumes and going by yours I will be going with a set of Kooks or ARH but will most likely go with 1 7/8 seeing plans call for some type of forced induction when the budget allows.
