Default cam swap question

I was planning on swapping heads and cam together but, I am missing a few miscellaneous parts for the head swap. I've recently found out that the shop I go to (with a lift) that's let's you do all the work yourself, will be closing soon. I figured I'd go ahead and do the cam swap and crank pin since I can utilize the lift there and do the heads later since that requires no lift. Question is, can I use the ecs small blower cam with stock springs for now since my new heads have the new springs on them. The lift on that cam is .580.

I would not trust the stock springs to that much lift honestly, I can get you set up with a nice set of dual springs with Ti retainers, I would just recommend doing it all at once so theres no chance at dropping a valve from worn guides/extra spring pressure

The stock springs are rated to 550 lift under high revving conditions. They are good to 580 lift for normal cruising. So to answer your question - yes, you can drive it easily on the stock springs until you get the heads swapped. Don't rev the motor past 3K rpm.

Sounds risky. I think I'll have to try and do the heads together.
