Recent Short Block Experiences Needed
My stock motor failed and I am looking for a good short block. I have narrowed my considerations to three options. Rebuilt and forged 364, 383 or a 402. My 243's are going to AI, adding a tad bit larger cam, FAST 102 and have plenty of supporting bolt ons as it was a full bolt on, cam car before the failure.
If you have any recent experiences with shops, please share. I am considering LEP, Texas Speed and TMS and my budget just for the short block is around $4500.
I was at 455 previously and would like to be there or better when I am done.
