Ive read were some guys have removed thiers..... I thinking about removeing mine,,, is their a problem since I only drag race mine. I do not take curves at high speeds....... Can you guys let me know how your cars act without that front sway bar.........
I drove mine for years without and didn't even really notice it was gone. I dont road coarse my car or anything but I would still have fun on a nice curvy back road without any problems.
Just wondering if not having the sway bar would allow the front end to work better .... Launching on the drag strip would it allow better sixty foot times, just from the weight transfer on take off....... as for the weight advantage of moving it that's hardly anything.............

All I can say is that I don't think I have ever seen a real drag car with a front sway bar (I went to 19 NHRA National events in 2014). Check a COPO drag race Camaro, that should give you the answer.
UPDATE: The COPO drag race Camaors have the sway bar deleted.

It don't weigh much but its weight in front of the spindles and I didnt notice any change in cornering, mines been off 9 years and the Z51 bar is hollow

it all depends on the power and set up some cars will go up instead of forward and could slower 60 ft by setting timer with back tires
Some guys have seen increases and some have not..... So im gonna test mine this weekend and take the front sway bar off........ I have logged every pass before and know what my 60ft are prior to removeing it. I will post on sat night if it made any difference....
I've never driven a vette with it off but other cars there's a noticeable amount of body roll. I don't see the advantage of removing it for a street car that occasionally sees some drag racing.
I made my own rear sway bar on my Z06. I put Magna-flow mufflers in which are much smaller than stock ones. The rear sway bar became very noticeable because of the offset to go under the mufflers. The MFs were also 15 lbs lighter (6 lbs each vs 21 stock). I bought a length of 1/8" wall 1 1/4" diameter chromemoly tube for $15. I cut it to length, bent the ends to match the stock bar, made 2 end link connectors from 3/16"flat stock. I even drilled 3 sets of end link holes with the center one being the same as stock. Then used Energy Suspension sway bar mounts to match the new 1 1/4" diameter. I tested it by jacking one wheel and measuring how much the bar would raise the other wheel. It came out about 10% stiffer than the stock bar.
